Location: 39 Southside Street - held in the workshop above the gallery - limited to 4 people. Please note the cost of the course is non-refundable. A refund may be made, only if your place can be filled.
This is a perfect introduction to Jewellery making and design for anyone with a creative spark and wanting to learn the basics in a day. And if you like it then you could continue onto one of our 10wk courses.
Students will learn how to saw pierce, solder, form, texture and finish a piece.
With all of the beautiful designs from established jewellers on display in the gallery below, you will be constantly given examples of what you have learnt or are being taught putting learning into context. We shall constantly re-cap at every stage.
Over one day you can expect to come away with a textured ring with stone set onto it. You are welcome to bring a pebble, sea glass or unusual found treasure to set onto one of your rings but we do have a collection of semi-precious stones.
Health and safety are covered and each student shall be emailed a week or so before the course start date to give a reminder and further details about the course.
See examples of rings students made on the ‘taster day’ here on our facebook page
Perfect for a BIRTHDAY, HEN do, CHRISTMAS gift, or a FRIENDS creative day!
There are plenty of tasty eateries for lunch near the gallery.
We don’t take bookings through the website as we prefer to discuss your needs with you, and then we can match you to the most suitable course. We can take your deposit to secure your place at the same time.
We do need 4 people to run this course, so if you have friends or family that can make up the numbers then fantastic, otherwise we can advertise for more people to join.
Please feel free to call Victoria to discuss the course on 01752 220011.
