Cristina Zani

Italian-born Cristina Zani is an award-winning artist who completed an MFA in jewellery at Edinburgh College of Art in 2012 and is currently based there.

Inspired by Italo Calvino's Invisible cities, Cristina's work reflects the urban environment, its geometries and unique stories. Cristina uses a combination of different shapes and colours to create wearable art that tells its own story. Central to her creative process is the use of wood, combined with precious metals, sometimes stones, serving as both a canvas and a medium.

Cristina's pieces are sculptural, bold and tactile, usually large in scale but light to wear.
