An intense weekend on introductory to Jewellery making and design. – Great for social special occasions 3 people minimum – 4 max)
This is a perfect introductory to Jewellery making and design for anyone with a creative spark and wanting to learn the basics and more over 2 days. If you enjoy it then you could continue onto one of our 10wk courses.
Students will learn how to saw pierce, solder, form, texture and finish a piece. Stone setting is covered and colour can be added with enamel.
You are welcome to bring a pebble, sea glass or unusual found treasure to use over the two days – mixed materials in a contemporary way are encouraged.
With all of the beautiful designs from established jewellers on display in the gallery below, you will be constantly given examples of what you have learnt or are being taught putting learning into context. We shall constantly re-cap at every stage.
Health and safety is covered and each student shall be emailed a week or so before the course start date to give a reminder and further details about the course.
Perfect for a special BIRTHDAY, HEN day or CHRISTMAS gift!
On arrival we have coffee and pastry from the fabulous bakers next door, Jaka’s, and there are plenty of tasty eateries for lunch near the gallery.
We don’t take bookings through the website as we prefer to discuss your needs with you, and then we can match you to the most suitable course. We can take your deposit to secure your place at the same time.
Please feel free to call Victoria to discuss the course on 01752 220011
Over the weekend they can expect to come away with at least a silver ring and a pendant, bangle or brooch – more if time allows!
