Kate Smith
Kate trained at Stourbridge College of Art and Design before completing a degree in Jewellery Design at Middlesex University in 2000
After working with numerous other contemporary designers/makers whilst living in London, she moved back to the Midlands to take inspiration from her countryside surroundings of Shropshire and to set up her own jewellery business in the heart of Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.
The jewellery that Kate creates symbolises inspired design combined with the skilled working of precious metals.
By closely observing forms and patterns within nature, Kate’s jewellery echoes the objects that she has drawn inspiration from.
